Our office for Varuna Roadlines Pvt Ltd is located at House No-46 in Dwarikesh Nager, which is in the Sarkhej area of Ahmedabad. Sarkhej is a busy hub for transport and logistics, so it makes sense for us to be right here in the middle of it. The office itself is pretty plain. We have some sturdy desks, a few old computers, and maps pinned up on the walls. It’s a working office, not a showroom. You’ll usually hear the sound of trucks passing by on the main road nearby, which is a constant reminder of the work we do. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive coffee machines. We just have a kettle and some tea bags for the staff and the drivers who come in to pick up their papers. Some of us have been working in this industry for twenty years, so we’ve seen a lot of changes in Ahmedabad, but the basics of moving goods haven't changed that much. We deal with people directly and try to keep things as simple as possible. If there’s a problem with a delivery, we just pick up the phone and talk it through. We don't like complicated emails or long meetings. We’d rather just get the trucks on the road. The neighborhood is full of other businesses like ours, so there’s a sense of shared understanding about how hard this job can be during the monsoon or the peak heat.
