Vaghela Electricals

We’ve been here in Anjar for quite some time now, right across from the Vankal Temple. If you know the Varshamedi Naka area, you’ve probably walked past our door at least once. It gets pretty dusty out here with the traffic and the Kutch sun, but we keep the shutters open anyway. Most days are just filled with sorting out wires and checking parts that people bring in. It is not a huge place, just a simple setup where we handle electrical stuff as it comes. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and other times it is quiet enough to hear the temple bells from across the road. We usually have tea together in the afternoon while looking over the lists of what needs doing. It’s mostly local people stopping by, some regulars we've known for years and others just passing through. The workbench is always a bit of a mess because there’s always something half-finished on it. We don't really do fancy displays or anything like that. We just focus on the job at hand and try to get things sorted before the day ends. The street outside is always busy, especially during festival times, so there is never a dull moment really. Just a bunch of us working with switches and cables and trying to keep everything running properly in this part of town. It’s hard work but it’s what we do for a living.
