Vadodara Mahanagar Seva

You can find us over in Vasna, right across from Dr. Jiveraj Mehta Hospital. We are in the Yaskamal Society, specifically at M/60. It’s a busy area of Ahmedabad, always cars and scooters buzzing by on Dr. C. V. Raman Marg. Our office is tucked in there, and sometimes people miss the sign if they aren't looking closely. We handle things for Vadodara Mahanagar Seva, mostly dealing with paperwork and local stuff that needs sorting out. The office isn't much to look at, just some metal cabinets and a few old fans that squeak when they turn. We’ve been here for a bit now. Most of the people living in the society know us by name. Sometimes we have tea at the stall around the corner while we talk about what needs doing for the day. It’s a lot of back and forth with different departments. Dealing with the public means you meet all sorts of people. Some are in a hurry, others just want to chat for an hour. We try to keep up with the files, but they tend to pile up on the corners of the desks. The heat in the afternoon can be something else, so we keep the curtains closed to stay cool. It’s just the daily grind here in Ahmedabad, keeping things moving as best as we can without making too much of a fuss about it.
