If you know that intersection, you know it is one of the busiest spots in the whole city. There is always someone honking their horn or a bus rushing past the gate. Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Ltd has been operating out of this spot for a lot of years. It’s a very central location, which makes it easy for people to find us, even if parking is a total nightmare most afternoons. The office itself is just an apartment that was turned into a workspace a long time ago. It has that lived-in feel, with old wooden desks and cables running along the floors. No polished receptionists or fancy waiting rooms are found here. If you walk in, you’ll probably just see us working through piles of ledgers or talking on the phone with someone. We don't spend any time or money on looking "corporate." Our focus is just on the electricity business and making sure everything is running like it should. The staff here has seen the city change quite a bit from these windows. We remember when there were fewer cars and more trees around Shyamal.
