Our place is in the Satellite area of Ahmedabad, which most people know is a pretty active part of the city. We are specifically located in the Kanchan Bhumi Flats, at B/303. It is tucked away behind the Kanak-Kala building. Being part of Uttar Gujarat Vij Co.Ltd. means we are always busy, but this specific office has a more local feel to it. Ahmedabad is a city that never really stops, and the traffic on the main roads can be something else, but once you get into the flat complex, it gets a bit quieter. We’ve been in this building for a long time. The elevator sometimes has a mind of its own, so a few of us just take the stairs to the third floor. It’s not a fancy glass-and-steel skyscraper. It is just a regular apartment building where we have set up our workspace. The rooms are filled with desks and the hum of computers. No marketing department is here telling us what to say, so we just talk to our customers like normal people. Gujarat gets incredibly hot, so the AC is usually running full blast during the day. We have our own routine, including local snacks at lunch, and we just keep the lights on for everyone else. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of office for all of us.
