Unnati Exports

We are located on the fifth floor of the Capital Commercial Centre. Ashram Road is always a bit of a nightmare with the traffic, but being up at E-26 gives us a bit of a break from the noise. Unnati Exports is mostly about paperwork and phone calls these days. We have these big windows that show the city, but they’re usually a bit streaky because it’s hard to get them cleaned that high up. The office has desks piled high with documents and samples of things we’re sending out. We spend a lot of time on the computer checking shipping statuses and emailing people in different time zones. The elevator in this building is quite old and sometimes it feels a bit shaky, which is always a topic of conversation when people visit. We don’t have a reception desk or a fancy lobby. You just walk in and we’re all there working. There’s a small pantry in the corner where the kettle is always on. We go through a lot of tea while we’re sorting out the logistics for the day. It’s not the most exciting environment, just a lot of coordinating and making sure the boxes get where they need to go on time. Sometimes a shipment gets delayed and we have to spend the whole afternoon on the phone. It’s just the nature of the export business, really. We just keep at it until the work is done.
