Universal Pattern Works

Our place is tucked away in the Anil Synthetic Mills Compound over in Rakhial. Universal Pattern Works has been at number 64 in the Banner Industrial Estate for quite some time now. Rakhial is a busy area, lots of noise and trucks moving in and out all day long. If you're looking for us, you have to navigate through the compound, which can be a bit tricky if it's your first time here. We spend most of our hours working on patterns. It’s what we know. The workshop isn't air-conditioned or anything, so it gets pretty warm in the summer, but we’re used to it. We keep our tools organized as best as we can, though things tend to get cluttered when multiple projects are running at once. We aren't big on fancy meetings or corporate talk. Usually, we just talk over the machines or during a quick lunch break. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by people who do similar work, so there's a bit of a community feel among the shops here. We've had some of the same guys working here for years. They know the equipment inside and out. We don’t have a marketing department or anything like that. We just do the work, send it out, and wait for the next job to come through. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. The compound has its quirks, like the occasional power glitch or the crowded driveway, but it's home to us. It works for us.
