Our place is over in Amraiwadi, specifically at 18, Narayan Nagar Society, near the Rabari Colony Cross Roads in Ahmedabad. It’s a busy area of Gujarat, and our metal business fits right in. Universal Metal Co. Ltd. handles a lot of different metal products, and our yard is usually full of stock. It’s noisy and sometimes a bit dirty because of the nature of the work, but it’s what we do every day. We aren't those corporate types who stay behind a desk all the time. Most of us are out there checking the inventory or talking to the drivers who come in to pick up loads. The heat in Ahmedabad can be pretty tough in the summer months, but we just keep the water cold and keep moving. We’ve been at this location for a while, and the neighbors in the society know us well. It’s a practical business. We get the metal in, we process what needs doing, and we send it out. There’s no magic to it, just keeping track of the weights and the grades of the material. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy stories about us. We are just a local metal company trying to keep things moving for our customers in the city and beyond. It’s honest, heavy work that requires a lot of patience. We've seen a lot of people come and go, but the scrap and the steel keep us here.
