Universal Agencies

We have been sitting here at No. 248 on the first floor for a good while now. It is right across from Malini Khadki, once you get inside Kalupur Gate. Things get pretty busy around Kalupur, but we manage. Universal Agencies isn't a giant place, just a workspace where we handle what comes through the door. Most days involve a lot of paperwork and talking to people who walk in. The building is easy to find if you know the gate. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, yet we stay put. It gets noisy outside with all the traffic and the markets nearby. We usually just keep the fans running and get on with the lists and orders. It’s not fancy or anything like that. Just a regular spot where the work gets done by hand mostly. Sometimes the stairs up to the first floor feel a bit steep after a long day. We mostly deal with local folks and regulars who have known us for a long time. People stop by, ask questions, and we try to give them a straight answer without making it complicated. It's just how we do things here in this part of town. If the door is open, someone is usually at the desk working. We don’t spend much time on decorations or making things look pretty. It’s a functional space for a functional business. That's about it really for us.
