Tulsi Ayurvedic Pharmacy

Our place, Tulsi Ayurvedic Pharmacy, is at No. 11-12 in Swaminarayan Park. We are very close to the Jantanagar Railway Crossing in the Ghatlodia area. If you live around here, you know the sound of the trains passing by quite well. It is a constant part of our day. Being in Ghatlodia means we are in a busy, middle-class neighborhood where people appreciate traditional ways of doing things. Our shop covers two units, numbers 11 and 12, so we have a bit more room than some of the other small shops in the park. We deal mostly in Ayurvedic items, so the shop usually has a faint smell of herbs and natural roots. It is quite different from a regular medicine shop in that way. We have many rows of jars and boxes filled with various traditional preparations. The Jantanagar area is always bustling, and when the railway crossing closes, the traffic piles up right near us. We see a lot of people who are looking for natural alternatives or things they’ve used in their families for generations. It is a plain, hardworking shop without any fancy glass partitions or modern décor. We just keep the shelves stocked and help the people who come in from the Swaminarayan Park area. It is a good, honest way to spend the day in this part of Ahmedabad. We just keep working through the daily rush.
