Our office is up on the 8th floor of the D & C Dynasty Plaza. It’s right near Stadium Circle on C.G. Road in Navrangpura. Being this high up gives us a pretty good view of the city, especially in the evenings when the lights come on. Navrangpura is a busy part of Ahmedabad, so there’s always something going on outside. We work in the global trade and services sector. Our space is mostly open-plan with people on laptops and talking on headsets. It gets a bit noisy during the middle of the day, but that’s just how it is. We don't have any big corporate manifestos on the walls. It’s mostly just calendars and notes pinned up. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, the desks can get a bit cluttered with papers and coffee mugs. The lift in the plaza is usually quick, which is good because we are quite far up. We have a small pantry where we make our own tea and lunch. We aren't doing anything flashy. We just handle our accounts and talk to partners in different time zones. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure details don't get lost. Most of us have been here for a few years now, so we know how each other works. It’s a practical environment where we just focus on getting the day's tasks finished. Sometimes we stay late because of the time differences, but mostly we try to get home at a decent hour.
