Truckman

Truckman is located right near Kamdar Maidan on Gomtipur Road. It’s an easy place to find if you know the area. We’re mostly outdoors or in the garage area most of the day. The smell of oil and old tires is just part of the environment here. We aren't the type of business that has a clean waiting room with magazines. If you come by, you’ll probably find us with grease on our hands or looking under a hood. It’s a noisy spot because of the road and the work being done, but we like it that way. Being near the Maidan means there’s always some activity nearby, which keeps things interesting. We’ve been working on Gomtipur Road for a while, and we’ve seen all sorts of vehicles come through. We don't make big promises or use fancy language about what we do. We just look at the trucks and try to get them back on the road. It’s a straightforward trade. Sometimes the parts we need take a while to arrive, and we just have to wait. We spend our breaks sitting on plastic chairs outside, watching the traffic go by. It’s a simple life. No corporate handbooks or meetings. We just talk about what needs fixing and we do it. The local tea seller stops by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take five minutes to ourselves before getting back to the engines.
