Our office is on the ground floor of the Neelmani Chamber, which is right across from the Bhalchanda Colour Lab. If you are on Ashram Road in Ahmedabad, you’ll see us near the Sales India showroom. It is a very busy street with plenty of people walking by all the time. We are the XPS division of Transport Corporation of India Ltd., so we mostly deal with the express side of things. The office has a lot of parcels coming through every hour. It’s a bit cramped inside sometimes because of all the boxes waiting to be sorted and labeled. We have a small counter where people come to drop off their packages or ask when their stuff will arrive. The ground floor location is handy because we don’t have to carry heavy things up any stairs. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving crates around, and the floor could probably use a good scrub, but we are usually too busy to worry about that. We often have the radio playing in the background to keep things lively while we work. Everyone here has a specific job, but we often end up helping each other when a big delivery arrives at the door. It’s a straightforward kind of place. We don't use any fancy systems, just the basic ones that get the packages where they need to go. It feels like a real community here on Ashram Road among the local shops.
