Our office is situated right outside Astodia Gate in Ahmedabad, just near the HP petrol pump in Junalathi Bazar. It is a busy spot where you can always hear the horns and the constant movement of the city. We spend our mornings sorting through piles of documents and talking to drivers who just arrived from long trips. The TCI House isn't hard to find if you are familiar with this part of town. We have been here for a good amount of time, seeing the market change over the years. Inside, it’s mostly just desks covered in folders and some old metal cupboards for storage. The tea stall nearby is where we usually go when things get too hectic in the afternoon. Dealing with transport in a place like this means you have to be ready for anything, like a truck getting stuck in narrow lanes or the rain making everything a bit messy. We don't try to make things look more important than they are. We just focus on the logs and making sure the loaders are doing their bit. It gets pretty hot during the summer months, so the ceiling fans never really stop. It's a simple place to work, and we all know our roles quite well. Most of us have worked together for years, so the routine feels very natural now. We just handle the day-to-day stuff and keep the office running as best as we can without making any fuss.
