The Smile Maker

The Smile Maker is located on the first floor of Neelkanth Plaza in Paldi. A good way to find us is to look for the Honest Restaurant; we are right above it. You can often smell the food cooking downstairs, which can make you quite hungry by midday. We are in the Bhatta area, and it’s a pretty central spot. The office itself, room 108, isn't very large. We have a small area for waiting and then the main room where we work. The windows look out onto the street, so there’s always something to see. We have a few plants in the corner, though they don't always get enough sunlight. Our routine is pretty much the same every day. We come in, turn on the lights, and start getting the tools ready. There’s no corporate vibe here; it’s just a regular workplace. We don’t have those polished speeches about what we do. We just fix what needs fixing and talk to the people who come in. Sometimes the plumbing in the building acts up, or the stairs feel a bit dusty, but that’s just how these older plazas are. It’s a lived-in space. We’ve been here long enough that the local shopkeepers know us. It’s just us, sitting above a restaurant, doing our work day in and day out without much fuss. We try to keep things moving along nicely for whoever walks up the stairs.
