The Family Clinic

We are over here in Naranpura, right by the vegetable market on Shastrinagar Society Road. Our place is at No. 6/42, and it is a busy spot, especially in the mornings when everyone is out getting their groceries. The Family Clinic has been here for a good while now. It isn't a huge place, just a few rooms and some chairs for people to sit while they wait. We see all sorts of people coming through the door. Sometimes it’s a kid with a scraped knee and other times it’s an older person who just isn’t feeling right. My desk is usually covered in papers and the phone rings more than I’d like, but that is just how it goes. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven’t gotten around to it yet. We try to keep things simple. You come in, you tell us what’s wrong, and we see what we can do to help. There is no fancy music playing or anything like that. Just a regular doctor’s office in the neighborhood. Most of our patients live right around the corner, so we see the same faces quite often. It feels more like a community spot than a cold medical building. We keep the files in the metal cabinets and try to stay organized, though some days are more chaotic than others when the flu is going around. That is about it for us.
