The Arvind Mills Ltd.

We are located on Naroda Road, which is pretty much the heart of the industrial side of things around here. If you know Naroda Road, you know it’s always moving. There are trucks, workers, and a lot of dust in the air most days. Our place, The Arvind Mills Ltd., is a big part of that landscape. The building has been here for a long time, and you can see the history in the brickwork and the old gates. Inside, the sound of the machines is constant. It’s a hum that you stop hearing after a few hours, but it’s always there in the background. We have a lot of people coming and going at all hours because the work doesn’t really stop. The canteen is usually the busiest place during the shift changes, where everyone grabs a quick tea. It’s not a glamorous job, and the offices are functional rather than pretty. We have desks piled with folders and walls covered in old calendars and production schedules. Being out here on Naroda Road means we are right in the thick of the action. It can be a bit overwhelming for someone new, but for us, it’s just where we go every day to get the work done. The gates are always open for the deliveries, and there is a certain rhythm to the way things move from the floor to the loading docks. We mostly just keep our heads down and finish the day's quota.
