Thakker Travell

We run Thakker Travell out of Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Our main spot for sending and receiving anything is in the 380026 area code. Travel is a busy business to be in, especially in a city like this. There’s always someone looking to go somewhere or needing help with their plans. We don’t have a huge, glossy office. It’s more about being available to talk to people and figure out their trips. Ahmedabad is a big place, and being here helps us stay connected to what’s happening in the region. We handle a lot of our stuff through correspondence, so the mailbox stays pretty full. It’s just how we’ve always done it. We aren’t a big chain with hundreds of employees. It’s just a local operation where we know the routes and the best ways to get around. Some days it’s just answering the same questions over and over, but that’s part of the job. We keep our records in order and make sure the details are right. It’s nothing fancy, just a room with some maps, computers, and a lot of notebooks. We’ve been in Gujarat for a long time, so we know the local scene well. If you send something our way, it gets seen and dealt with eventually. We just take it one day at a time, making sure people get where they need to be. It’s an honest living and we enjoy the work.
