We are over at 210 Nicol Road in the Thakkar Bapa Nagar area. It’s a busy industrial part of the city with a lot of textile work going on all around us. The mill has been here for a while. You can hear the hum of the machinery as soon as you turn onto the street. It’s not a quiet place by any means. There are always rolls of cloth being moved around and trucks waiting to be loaded. The office is just a small room near the main gate where we handle the paperwork. It’s usually covered in lint and thread by the afternoon. We have a small crew that has been with us for years. We know each other’s families and what’s going on in the neighborhood. It’s a lot of repetitive work, checking the looms and making sure the threads aren't breaking. We don't have a fancy website or a big sales team. Most of our work comes from people we’ve known for decades. The heat in the mill can get pretty intense, especially in May, but we have big fans that help a bit. It’s just an honest day’s work for everyone here. We finish up, lock the gates, and head home to do it all again tomorrow. Sometimes we stay late when a big order needs to go out, but nobody complains much because we all need the work. It’s just part of life here.
