Swastik Electronics

Our shop is located in the Shreeji Industrial Estate. It’s tucked inside the old Raipur Mill Compound over in Saraspur. It’s an old part of the city, and it definitely feels like it when you walk through the gates. We deal with electronics at Swastik. It’s a lot of small parts, soldering iron smoke, and testing circuit boards one by one. The air smells like hot metal and solder most days. We have a few old benches set up for the guys to work on. It’s a bit cramped with all the inventory stacked up, but we usually know where everything is. Mostly, anyway. Sometimes a specific part goes missing and we spend an hour looking for it under the tables. That’s just life in a small workshop. We get customers from all over the local area. Some of them have been coming to us for years. We don’t do any advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here in the compound. The estate gets pretty busy during the day with all the other businesses moving stuff. We just stick to our corner and keep our heads down. It’s not a shiny corporate office with air conditioning. We have grease on our hands and a lot of scrap wire on the floor. But the stuff we make works like it should. We take care of the details because that's how we were taught. It’s a simple way to make a living. We keep the doors open and the fans running all day long.
