Gujarat Thread

You can find us over at Shankar Estate, right near Revabhai Estate in the Surelia area. We occupy units 119 and 120. It is a big space because we need room for all the thread we keep on hand at any given time. There are spools everywhere in different colors and thicknesses. If you walk in, you’ll probably see boxes stacked up high near the entrance waiting for the courier. We spend most of the day winding things or packing orders for people who do sewing or industrial stitching. The machines have a specific hum to them that you stop noticing after the first hour of work. It’s a bit dusty because of all the fibers in the air, but that’s just how a thread business is. We handle a lot of bulk stuff, so there’s usually a truck out front getting loaded up. The roads around Surelia can get a bit crowded with all the estates nearby, but we manage to get things out on time. We aren't big on fancy decorations; the walls are just plain and covered with metal shelves. Our staff knows exactly where everything is, even if it looks a bit cluttered to someone else walking in. We just focus on getting the right thread to the right person. Sometimes we have to double-check the labels because two blues might look the same under the old lights. It is steady work and we like being part of the local manufacturing scene here.
