Our office is located at 12A in the Dariapur Gujrar Vasahat, which is over in the old city area of Ahmedabad. It’s a very traditional part of town, near Vasaut Nagar, and you can really feel the history of the city when you walk around here. The streets are a bit narrow and it can get quite crowded with scooters and people going about their business. We’re an infrastructure company, but our base is very much a local one. The office is in a housing society building, so it’s got a very lived-in, practical feel to it. It’s not a sleek modern space, just some rooms where we manage our projects and handle all the paperwork. There’s a lot of coming and going, with supervisors dropping by to give updates. We drink plenty of tea and try to keep things organized, though the files seem to multiply on their own. The heat in Ahmedabad can be tough in the summer, so we have the fans going all day. Working in Ahmadabad City means dealing with the noise and the energy of the place constantly. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just want to get through the work we have and do it properly. It's a busy life, and we are just regular people trying to keep the business running in a part of the city we know well. It’s honest and it keeps us busy from morning till night.
