Solid Fiber Glass Fabrication

Solid Fiber Glass Fabrication has been running out of our spot in Vatva for quite a few years now. We are right over at No. 4 in the Saiyam Complex, which is really close to the Punitnagar railway crossing. If you’ve ever walked by, you probably smelled the resin before you saw the sign. It’s messy work, to be honest. Our clothes usually have little bits of glass fiber stuck to them, and the floor is never really clean no matter how much we sweep. We make all kinds of things like tanks, sheets, and custom molds. Sometimes a customer comes in with a broken part from a machine and asks if we can replicate it in fiberglass. We say yes and then spend the next three days figuring out the best way to do it. It’s a lot of manual labor, sanding down rough edges until our arms are tired. On rainy days, the humidity makes everything dry much slower, so we end up sitting around the workshop drinking tea and waiting for the resin to set. We don't have a fancy office or any sales people. It’s just us doing the work. The trains passing by the crossing make the whole building shake a little bit, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We just try to make things that hold up and do what they are supposed to do. It’s not always pretty, but it’s solid work and we take a lot of pride in figuring out how to build stuff that lasts.
