Solar Ceramics

Down here in Naroda at the GIDC Estate, things are always moving. Solar Ceramics is located at Plot 610, which is over in Phase Four near Reunion Road. It is an industrial area, so there are a lot of trucks and noise most of the day. We spend our time working with clay and heat. It gets pretty warm inside the shop, especially during the summer months, but that is just part of the job when you are dealing with ceramics. We have got a decent-sized plot here, which is necessary for the kilns and the storage. Our team is mostly local folks who have been doing this kind of work for a long time. We do not really have a big office; it is mostly just the production floor and a small desk for the paperwork. Naroda is a busy place, and being in the GIDC means we are surrounded by other businesses doing similar hard work. We keep our operation simple. There are not any fancy slogans on the walls. We just focus on getting the firing right and making sure the pieces do not crack. Some days are long, especially when we have a big batch going through, but we prefer staying busy. Most of our neighbors around Reunion Road are in the same boat, just trying to keep the machines running and making ends meet. It is honest work, and we are glad to be part of the community here for all these years now.
