About Software Developer – Metals & Minerals in Ahmedabad
I have been sitting at this desk in Qt. No:-203/C for quite a while now. Living in the Railway Colony here in Gandhidham means things are usually pretty quiet, except for when the trains go by. I mostly just write code all day. Sometimes the internet gets a bit slow, but we make it work. It is just me and a few computers here in this part of Kutch. People often ask what a software developer is doing in a place like this, but really, you just need a keyboard and a decent screen to get things done. I started this because I liked messing around with computers when I was younger and now it is just my daily job. It isn't a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It is just a room with some cables, a few old chairs, and too many coffee mugs. My neighbors are mostly railway workers who don't always get what I am doing, which is fine by me. I spend a lot of time debugging things that probably shouldn't have been broken in the first place. The dust in Gandhidham is something else, so I have to clean the fans on the PC pretty often. I don't have a big team or a receptionist. If you call, you are just talking to me. I try to get projects finished on time, though sometimes things take longer than I thought they would. That is just how software goes. It is a lot of staring at the screen and hoping the logic holds up. I have been here for a few years and it suits me fine.
