Our shop is up on the second floor of the Nutan Cloth Market, near the Raipur Gate. It’s right by Ankur Textile Mill, so there is always a lot of activity going on around here with people moving fabrics and goods. We do a lot of printing work for the local businesses in the market. Since we are on the second floor, you have to walk up the stairs, but most of our regulars don't mind the climb. The machines take up a lot of the space in room 19. It smells like ink and paper most of the time, which is just how a print shop should be. We handle things like bill books, cards, and labels. We don't have a big reception area, so you usually just walk straight into where the work is happening. Sometimes the power goes out in the area and we have to wait a bit to get the presses started again, but that is just part of being in Raipur. We’ve seen the market change over the years, but we just keep doing our thing. The noise from the street below comes in through the windows, but we get used to it. It’s a busy place and we try to get orders out as fast as we can without rushing the quality too much. People usually just stop by to drop off their files or check on a proof. We don't use much technology for sales, just honest talk over the counter.
