If you know Ahmedabad, you know how busy Drive In Road can get. That’s where we are, at Plot No 709. It’s a good spot because it’s easy to find, even if the traffic is a bit of a headache during rush hour. Skum School has been part of this neighborhood for quite a while. We aren't one of those massive campuses that look like a hotel. Instead, it’s a more compact place where everyone bumps into each other in the corridors. We have these big windows in the classrooms that let in some light, though we keep the blinds down when the sun gets too strong in the afternoon. The stairs are a bit worn down from years of students running up and down them. We mostly just focus on getting through the school year without too much drama. The staff room is usually full of papers and half-empty tea cups, which is pretty much how a school should look. We don’t go in for much fancy talk. Kids come here, they sit in their classes, and they go home. We try to make sure they learn what’s in the books and maybe play a bit of sport if the weather is okay. It’s a local school for local people, and we like it that way. No big surprises, just the daily routine of bells ringing and lessons being taught. That is how we work here.
