Site Supervisor

It is pretty hot out here in Godhra, especially on Bamroli Road where we have been working lately. Our little office is at number 90 in Marutinagar, though I am mostly out in the sun. Site supervision here is a lot of manual work and checking on the local laborers. We deal with a lot of dust and heat throughout the day. I usually start early before the sun gets too high, checking the foundation or the brickwork from the day before. It is a simple life, mostly just making sure the trucks get in and out without getting stuck. I have to keep track of how many bags of cement we use and who worked how many hours. Sometimes the water supply is an issue, so I have to arrange for tankers to come by. The people around here are nice, but work can be slow when it gets really dry. I do not use any complicated software or anything, just a pen and paper to keep things straight. I have lived in Gujarat my whole life, so I am used to the pace of things here. It is just about making sure the building stands up straight and the owner is happy with the progress. We do not do anything fancy, just standard construction stuff every day. My clothes always smell like wet concrete and diesel, but that is just the job I have chosen for myself.
