Silver Samurai

Silver Samurai is located at A-25 in Saeadar Mall, right on Nikol Road in Bapunagar. Being in a mall means there’s always a bit of a buzz, but not the fancy kind you see in the big shopping centers. This is a local mall where people come for their daily needs. Our shop is one of many along the corridor. It’s a compact space, so we have to be very careful about where we put things so we don't run out of room. The front window gets a lot of fingerprints from people walking by and looking in at what we have. Inside, we have some basic shelving and a counter where we talk to people who stop by with questions. The lighting is a bit bright and the air conditioning from the mall keeps it manageable even when it’s boiling outside on Nikol Road. We hear the music from the other shops and the sound of the crowds on the weekends. Sometimes we have to move stacks of boxes just to make a path to the back room. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. It’s a busy spot and there’s rarely a quiet moment during the afternoon hours. When the mall closes, we spend a bit of time tidying up the shelves before pulling the shutter down for the night. It’s a simple life in a crowded part of Ahmedabad.
