Vejalpur is where we do most of our heavy lifting. Shreyas Complex is a decent place, and we are over in A-211B. It’s not the kind of office where people wear suits. Most of us at Sicoma Mixers India Pvt Ltd are more comfortable in work boots and sturdy shirts. The floor is often covered in metal shavings or dust from the mixer parts we are looking at. We spend a lot of time on the phone with sites all over the country, trying to explain how a certain bolt fits or why a motor needs more grease. It gets pretty loud when we are testing things, but the other folks in the complex don't seem to mind much. We have a small kettle in the corner for making coffee, and that’s usually where the best ideas happen. The furniture is a bit mismatched, bought at different times over the years, but it’s comfortable enough for a long shift. We don't go in for big presentations or long-winded speeches. If something is broken, we fix it. If a part is missing, we find it. It’s practical, everyday work. The Ahmedabad heat can be tough in the summer, especially with all the metal around, but we keep the fans going and get through it. It’s a straightforward life here in Vejalpur, just keeping the mixers running and making sure the inventory is where it should be.
