Shri Swami Dehydration Food Association

We are out in Ramwadi, Nesvad, specifically at Survey No 115, Plot No 40-41. We are right behind the S.T. workshop, which is where a lot of the local buses get fixed. At Shri Swami Dehydration Food Association, we spend our days dealing with food that needs to be dried out for preservation. It is a noisy area because of the workshop nearby, but we are used to the sounds of engines and people shouting. Our facility is basically a large workspace where we process the vegetables or whatever else we are working on that week. There is a lot of heat involved in the dehydration process, so it can get pretty stuffy inside the building. We have a few machines running most of the time. We aren't some big food corporation with lab coats and shiny floors. We are just local people in Nesvad who know how to handle produce properly. Sometimes the weather affects how fast things dry, which can be a bit of a problem, but we manage somehow. We’ve got a small office corner where we keep the ledger and the receipts. Most of our days are spent checking on the trays and making sure everything is drying the way it should. It’s a lot of repetitive work but it is honest and keeps us busy. We take our lunch breaks together under the shade of a tree outside when it’s too hot in the plot. We’ve been here a good while now.
