You can find Shree Ratnakar Gems & Jewellery up on the tenth floor of the Shree Krishna Tower. Being located in Krishnanagar, Saijpur, means we have a decent view of the area, though to be honest, we are usually too busy looking at small stones to notice the window much. It is a quiet office compared to the shops you see on the ground floor. We deal with gems and various jewelry pieces all day long. It takes a lot of patience to sit there with a loupe checking for tiny marks or little chips that nobody else would even notice. The building has been here for a bit, and we have settled into room 1008 quite well over the years. Most of our work is done at the benches where the light is the strongest. We do not have a big storefront with a window display for people just walking by on the street. It is more of a place where you come specifically if you already have something in mind. We get a lot of regulars who know the way up the elevator. The tea guy usually comes by around four o'clock, which is the highlight of the afternoon for the staff. It is a straightforward business without any bells or whistles. We keep our tools sharp and our records in order. Some days are slower than others, but there is always a stone to sort or a piece to clean up.
