Shilpshree

Our place, Shilpshree, is located at 61, Sunset Row House in the Gurukul area of Ahmedabad. It’s a nice enough spot, though the traffic on the main Gurukul road can get really backed up in the evenings. The row house setup means we aren't in a typical office building. It feels more like a home that turned into a workspace over the years. We have some plants out front that we try to keep alive despite the Gujarat heat. Inside, it is mostly open rooms where we keep our supplies and desks. There is no big sign outside, just the number 61. People around here know us because we’ve been at this address for a good bit. Ahmedabad is a fast-growing city, but this little pocket near Sunset Row House still feels manageable. We usually have a pot of tea going in the afternoon. It is mostly quiet inside, except when the delivery guys are dropping things off at the door. We don't have a big staff, just a few local folks who show up every morning and get to it. Sometimes the neighbors come by to complain about where someone parked, and we have to go out and move a scooter or two. It is just the way things are in a residential neighborhood. We like it this way because it’s not as cold or distant as those big corporate parks. We spend most of our time just managing the daily flow of things.
