In Ahmedabad, you’ll find our office at 43, Nirman Society in the Chandlodia Gam area. It’s a local spot and we’ve become a part of the neighborhood over the years. Shapoorji Pallonji & Co Ltd uses this office to manage the various projects we have going on around Gujarat. The office isn't very large, but it’s efficient. We have our desks set up for the engineers and the administrative staff who keep the wheels turning. There’s always someone coming in with a delivery or a set of updated plans. Ahmedabad is a place where people value hard work, and we try to stick to that. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or big signs. Most of our work is out there in the form of buildings and industrial sites. Inside these walls, we’re just making sure the costs are tracked and the timelines are realistic. It gets a bit noisy sometimes when everyone is on the phone at once, but that’s just how a construction office works. We’ve seen the city grow and we’ve been a part of that in our own way. We don’t make a big deal out of it; we just show up and do what’s on the schedule for that day. It’s about getting the job done without a lot of unnecessary talk. We have a small break room where we sit and talk about things other than work sometimes, but mostly the conversation stays on the projects. It's a tight-knit group here and we look out for one another.
