Jainam Garments

You can find Jainam Garments at A/12 in the M. S. Appartments, which is near the Sujata Flats in Shahibaug. It is a bit of an unusual spot for a garment business because it is located within an apartment complex. This makes it a lot quieter than the main commercial markets in the city. We have a small shop space where we keep our ready-made clothes. It is mostly a local operation, serving the people who live in the neighborhood. We don't have a huge staff, just a couple of us who take turns minding the shop and going to the wholesalers to pick out new items. The shop is brightly lit with tube lights, and we have a few mirrors on the walls so people can see how the clothes look. We spend a lot of time folding and re-folding shirts and trousers that customers have looked at. The atmosphere is very relaxed. We often sit on stools near the door and chat with the neighbors as they pass by. Sometimes the kids from the apartments come in just to see what’s new. We don't do any big sales or promotions. We just put out the new stock and wait for people to notice. It is a very calm way to run a business. We open around ten in the morning and usually close up once the sun goes down and the families start heading back to their flats for dinner. It's a small place but it's ours.
