Shah Alloys Ltd, Ahmedabad

Our spot is at Plot No.62 in Ward 9B, which is part of Rukmini Society in Gandhidham. It’s a bit of a trek from the main Ahmedabad offices of Shah Alloys Ltd, but this is where we manage things on this side of Gujarat. Gandhidham has that dry, salty air because of the coast, and you can feel it on the equipment and the desks. The society is mostly quiet, but we have our share of activity with people coming in to talk about orders. We aren’t a huge team here, just a few of us making sure the alloy stocks are tracked and the Gandhidham side of the business runs without too many hiccups. The office is pretty basic. We have some old chairs, a couple of computers that have seen better days, and a lot of ledgers. You won’t find any big marketing posters on our walls. We just focus on the work. Sometimes the power goes out and we just wait it out or talk about the local news. It’s a practical way to work. We deal with the logistics of moving metal, which is never a clean job. There’s always some dust around. We’ve been here long enough that the neighbors don’t mind the occasional truck. It’s a steady life, really. We get the work done, lock up, and head home like everyone else in Ward 9B. No big mystery to it, just a local branch doing its part for the company.
