Shadigraphy Photo Cinema

I am sitting here in Naranpura, right near Pragati Garden, and looking at all the files we have to go through today. Shadigraphy Photo Cinema isn’t some huge studio with hundreds of people. It’s just us here, mostly focusing on photos and movies for people around the neighborhood and further out. It gets pretty loud outside the window with the traffic near the garden, but we just get on with it. We spend a lot of time with cameras and heavy tripods. Sometimes the lighting isn't right or a battery dies at the wrong time, but that's just part of the job. People come in asking for videos of their family events or maybe some portraits. We started this because we liked taking pictures, and it eventually turned into a real business. It’s not always glamorous work. There is a lot of sitting in front of screens, trying to make the colors look okay and cutting out the boring parts of a long video. My desk is usually a mess of SD cards and half-empty tea cups. Naranpura is a good place to be though, because everyone knows everyone. We don't have fancy receptionists or anything. If you come by, you’ll probably find one of us with a camera in hand or looking at a monitor. It’s just how we do things here, day after day. It is a lot of hard work but seeing the final video makes it fine.
