Our office is located at D 342 in Iffco Colony, which is in Uday Nagar in Gandhidham. If you know this part of Gujarat, you know it’s all about the shipping and the ports near Kutch. Being in Gandhidham means we are right in the heart of the shipping world. Our place in Iffco Colony is where we manage all the details for Sea Line Shipping. It’s a pretty functional area and our office is just like the others around here. We spend our time looking at shipping lanes and dealing with containers. The weather can get really hot and dry in Kutch, so we mostly stay indoors and keep the coolers running while we work. We aren't a huge corporation with glass skyscrapers. We are just a local group working out of a standard office building. There is always a lot of paperwork when you're dealing with ships and ports, so the desks are usually piled high. We talk to people at the port every day and try to keep things moving along. Sometimes there are delays at the docks, and those are the days when the phones never stop ringing. We just take it one day at a time and try to solve whatever problem comes up. It’s a busy life but it feels good to be part of the trade that happens here in Gandhidham. We just do our work and go home to our families at night.
