S.D. Traders

S.D. Traders is over near Three Gates at Shop No. 3079. It’s an old part of the city and you can feel it when you walk around the narrow streets. Our shop is packed with stock from the floor to the ceiling. We have to use a ladder to reach the stuff on the top shelves and sometimes it feels a bit wobbly, so we have to be careful. The doorway is narrow so we have to be careful when moving big items in and out. It’s usually quite dusty because of all the moving around. We don’t have a fancy sign, just the name and the shop number painted on the wall. The air doesn't move much inside unless we have the big fan on. We’ve been here for a while now and we know the delivery guys by name. They usually stop for a quick chat before heading to the next place. The Three Gates area is always buzzing with people and bikes. Sometimes it’s hard to hear the phone when the traffic gets really bad outside. We keep a notebook for all our notes and prices because it’s faster than typing it into a phone. It’s just how we do things here. We open early because that’s when the first customers show up. By the time we close, the streetlights are already on. It’s a long day but it’s honest work for us.
