Saurashtra Cement Ltd is situated at House No: 39 in Bavala. It’s a pretty simple setup we have here. We don’t really have any big signs or flashy lights. Just a regular house where we conduct our business affairs. Bavala is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else, so we don't need much more than that. We focus on getting the cement out to the people who are building things in the area. It might be a new wall, a house, or a repair job on a farm. We spend most of our time dealing with the logistics, like when the trucks are arriving and how much they are carrying. The desk is usually covered in papers and there is always a bit of dust from the road, but that is part of the job. We don’t try to act like a big corporate office. We are just a local point for the company. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power goes out, so we just wait it out and get back to work when we can. It is a quiet life for the most part, punctuated by the arrival of a heavy load. We keep our records in order and make sure the customers get what they paid for. There’s no mystery to it. Just hard work and a steady routine in a small house in Bavala. We have a small desk and a few chairs for guests. It is simple and we like it that way.
