Rohit Company

Changodar is basically just one long stretch of industrial units along the Sarkhej Bavla Highway. Rohit Company is located at C-5 A- B in Steel Towen, which sounds bigger than it actually is. Most of our day is spent dealing with the dust that blows in from the highway. We have to wipe down the desks every morning before we can even start working. It’s a very practical place. We have a lot of steel parts lying around and the sound of heavy vehicles is constant in the background. Sometimes a truck driver gets lost and wanders into our yard asking for directions. We usually give him some water and point him the right way. Our office is just a small partitioned area with a couple of old computers and a cooling fan that makes a clicking noise. We don’t really do big presentations or have fancy meetings. Usually, we just stand around a piece of equipment and figure out how to fix it or how to move it onto a trailer. The work is physical and tiring, but we’ve been doing it at this location for a while now. By the time evening comes, we are all ready to head home and get away from the highway noise. It’s just a regular job in a dusty industrial town, nothing more and nothing less. We just lock the gates, hope the rain doesn't flood the yard, and come back to do it all over again the next morning.
