Atman Associates

Atman Associates is located at 518 in the New Cloth Market, which is right in the heart of the Sarangpur area in Ahmedabad. If you have ever walked through this market, you know exactly how hectic it gets with people moving massive bundles of fabric and trucks trying to navigate the tight spaces. Our office is a modest space on the upper floors, and we spend our days surrounded by the constant hum of the market outside. It is not a very quiet place, but it has its own energy that we have grown to appreciate over the years. Inside, the shelves are mostly filled with old files and various samples of whatever we are currently working on. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting lounge; people just walk in, find a stool, and we talk about whatever needs to be handled. The office can get a bit stuffy in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the building, so the ceiling fans stay on high speed most of the time. We drink a lot of tea from the local vendor who comes around twice a day. It is a very grounded way of doing business, without any of the corporate polish you find in the newer shopping malls. We know the other shop owners nearby, and we all deal with the same daily struggles of traffic and logistics. It is just a regular place where we put in our hours and get the work done.
