Prima Transformers Pvt. Ltd.

Our place, Prima Transformers Pvt. Ltd., is out at Plot No. 809/2 on Kothari Cross Road. We are in the Santej area within the Gandhinagar District. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but it gives us the room we need for the big transformer units. The workspace is mostly open so we can move things around with the crane. It gets noisy when the guys are welding or testing the coils. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea and eat our packed lunches together. The yard outside is usually dusty, especially during the dry months. We don't have a lot of fancy office furniture; most of our budget goes into the equipment we use for the work. There’s a lot of technical stuff happening, but we talk about it in plain English. Sometimes the cows from the nearby village wander onto the road, so you have to drive carefully when you're leaving. We've been at this location for a good while and the neighbors all know us. It’s a hard-working atmosphere where everyone knows their job. We don't really have a front desk person, so if you walk in, you might have to shout a bit to get someone’s attention over the machinery. It’s just how we operate out here in Santej. It's a long day but we get the work finished before heading home.
