We work out of Vidya Apartment, right near the old Aradhna bus stop in Maninagar. It’s a busy area in Ahmedabad, especially during rush hour when the buses are everywhere. Our space is on the ground floor, A/1. It’s where all the media work happens. We have writers and some tech folks coming in and out at all hours. Sometimes the office feels more like a home because it's in an apartment building. We’ve got stacks of newspapers and old files taking up space in the corner. The coffee machine breaks sometimes, so we walk down the road for a drink. It’s just how things go here. We aren't some massive corporate entity with glass walls. We are just a team trying to put out stories and keep things running. The neighbors know us well by now. Ghodasar Road is always loud, but you get used to it. We spend a lot of time on our computers, checking facts or looking at layout designs. It gets a bit hectic when a deadline is close. Everyone starts talking at once and the phones don't stop ringing. But we like the energy. It keeps us moving. We’ve been in this spot for years and don't plan on moving anytime soon. It suits what we do perfectly. It’s practical and close to everything we need.
