Sales Executive

I work out of my flat here in Jainnagar, which is in the Paldi area of Ahmedabad. It's on the fourth floor of the Samatva building, flat number 403. Being near Hirabaug Crossing makes it easy to get around to different parts of the city, though the traffic at the junction is always a nightmare during office hours. My work as a sales executive involves a lot of phone calls and sorting through stacks of papers. The flat is usually quiet during the day while everyone else is out, which helps me focus on the numbers. I have a small balcony where I sometimes stand to get some air when the phone calls get to be too much. Ahmedabad is a fast-paced city, but in this part of Paldi, things feel a bit more relaxed and residential. I’ve got my computer set up near the window so I can see the street and the trees below. Most of my day is spent checking on customer orders and making sure things are moving along as they should. It’s not a glamorous job at all, but it keeps me busy. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up and stops between floors, so I have to take the stairs, which isn't great when it's forty degrees outside. I don't have a receptionist or any assistants helping me. When the doorbell rings, it’s usually just a delivery or a neighbor asking for something. I handle everything myself from start to finish.
