Working out of Raipur Chakla in Ahmedabad is quite an experience. Our office is at 1123, Akasheth Kuva`S Pole, which is one of those traditional narrow lanes the city is famous for. Safexpress Pvt. Ltd. has a lot to do here because it’s such a commercial hub. The 'Pole' is always tight, and getting big parcels through those narrow streets is a bit of a challenge every day. We are surrounded by old buildings and the smell of local snacks from the nearby vendors. The office itself is functional and a bit cramped, filled with boxes and manifests. We have to be very organized because there isn't much space to waste. In the summer, the heat in Gujarat can be really intense, so we mostly rely on our ceiling fans to keep cool while we sort through the paperwork. It’s a very local way of doing business. We know the neighbors and the other shopkeepers in the area. There’s a lot of movement, with delivery boys coming and going on their scooters. It’s not a shiny new warehouse, but it’s right in the heart of where the trade happens. We deal with a lot of cargo and we have to make sure every delivery is accounted for. It’s a noisy, busy, and very real environment to work in every day. We wouldn't have it any other way because this is where the action is.
