S M Shah & Co is located on the 8th floor of Hillora Residency right on the Ring Road. If you know Surat, you know how busy the Ring Road gets, especially near the Nehru Park Center Point. We are right by Kadiwala School, so in the mornings and afternoons, you can hear the kids and the school buses outside. It is a lively area to work in. Our office at 801 is usually full of the sound of calculators and fans spinning. We have a good view of the traffic from up here, which is sometimes a distraction when things get really jammed up on the road below. We have been here at Hillora Residency for a few years now, and the security guards and other shop owners in the building are all familiar faces. The workspace is filled with folders and ledgers. We don't really go for the modern minimalist look; it is just a place with desks, chairs, and a lot of work to do. Most days involve a lot of checking and re-checking figures. Lunch breaks usually happen at the desks or we go down for a quick bite at one of the stalls near the school. It is just a regular office life with the usual ups and downs of a small business. We deal with whatever comes our way and try to keep things moving along. It gets hot in the afternoons but we have enough fans to keep us going.
