The office for Rushi Herbal Pvt. Ltd. is in the Ashirwad Basement on Ashram Road. It’s right across from H.K. House and pretty close to the Times of India building. Being in a basement means we don’t get much natural light, but it stays a bit cooler during the hot Ahmedabad afternoons. We have stacks of boxes everywhere because of the herbal products we handle. It’s a busy spot because Ashram Road is always packed with cars and people. You can hear the traffic muffled through the walls. We’ve been working out of this basement for a good while. It’s mostly just us packing orders or checking the inventory on the shelves. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when a new shipment comes in. We use simple desks and old chairs. It’s not a showroom; it’s just a place where we get things done. Most of our day is spent talking to suppliers or making sure the labels are right. We don’t have a big fancy sign, just enough so people can find us. It’s a practical setup. There’s a tea shop around the corner where we usually take our breaks. Working near the Times of India building makes it easy to give directions. People know the landmark. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily routine of the business. It’s nothing glamorous, just a regular day at Rushi Herbal. We usually close up around six or seven in the evening to head home.
