Roxy Garments

Roxy Garments is tucked away in Pitaliabamba, which is right near the Central Bank on Gheekanta Road. If you have ever been through this part of the city, you know how crowded it gets with all the shops and people moving about. We are right in the middle of all that noise and energy. Most of our day is spent handling different types of garments and making sure the shop stays organized, which is harder than it looks. We have stacks of clothes everywhere, and sometimes it feels like we are running out of shelf space. Being so close to the bank makes it easy for people to find us as a landmark. The road outside is always full of scooters and carts, so there is never a quiet moment. We’ve seen many changes on Gheekanta Road over the years, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We aren't trying to do anything too complicated here. It’s just about having the right stock and being ready when a customer walks in through the door. The fans are always humming to keep the heat away, and there is usually a bit of dust from the street. It’s a simple setup. We open up in the morning, sort through the new arrivals, and wait for the busy afternoon rush. It’s a lot of standing and folding, but it is what we know how to do. The days go by fast when there is work to finish.
