You can find us on the first floor of the Shree Hari House complex. We are right above the Bank of Baroda. The Umiya Mata Mandir is just nearby, so there are always people around. We run a garment business. It’s a lot of work with fabric and sewing machines. The floor is usually covered in bits of thread and cloth scraps. We don't bother cleaning it until the end of the day because it just gets messy again in five minutes. We have a group of tailors who have been with us for a long time. They know their jobs well. We don't have a big corporate structure. I’m usually there on the floor with everyone else. We make all sorts of clothes. It’s a noisy place with the hum of the machines and people talking. We don't use any fancy marketing. People know us because we’ve been in this building for years. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit and wait. We use that time to have some tea and a chat. We just try to make decent clothes that fit well. It’s a practical business. We deal with the local markets and wholesalers. We don't have a big fancy office. Just a workspace that gets the job done. It’s hard work but we enjoy being part of the community here and seeing our clothes out in the world.
